You will be taking part in the CRP 2025 Summer Excavation, within the grounds of Brasted’s Caistor Hall Hotel at Caistor St Edmund. The site includes an area both inside and outside of the original layout of the Roman town of Venta Icenorum. This year we are focusing on investigation of the 2nd century defensive ditches that once enclosed the town; known to have been used for ritual deposition of objects and both human and animal burials.
